Mr de Faria having made voyages to different places entered here the public service which he discharged with credit to himself and to the great satisfaction of his superiors and all thos who had occasion to have official transactions with his department. He was honest and of an upright character and beloved by thos who knew his worth. He has left an old and venerable Father and seven sisters in great affliction to bemoan his irreparable loss.
