Service  Major Morgan served in the Punjab Campaign, 48, 49. Present at the action of Ramnuggur, 22nd November 48. Medal. Served at the annexation of Oude, 56. Commanded a Detachment of the 22nd Native Infantry, and captured the city of Fyzabad, 17th February 57. Present at the mutiny of the 22nd Native Infantry, at Fyzabad, on the 8th June 57, and at the mutiny of the Native Troops at Dinapore, 25th July 57. Served as Brigade Major with the Sarun and Goruckpore Field Forces in the Campaigns of 57, 58, 59. Present at the action of Sohunpore, 26th December 57 ; Phoolpore, 20th February 58 ; Belwa Fort, 2nd March; Amorah, 5th March, 17th and 25th April; Doominagunge, on the Raptee, 26th November and 3rd December; battle of Toolseepore and capture of the Fort, 23rd December; and affair on the Nepal Frontier, near Siewa, 29th December 58. Medal. Mentioned in the following Despatches: by Brigadier Rowcroft, 28th December 57; by Brigadier-General G. H, Macgregor, 25th February 58; by Brigadier Rowcroft, 22nd February 58, 6th March 58, 19th April 58, 6th and 18th January 59, and 24th January 59. Received the thanks of the Governor-General, 12th January 58. Promoted to the rank of Brevet-Major for services during the Mutinies.
