Detail  [After a few days illness, aged 63. Was invited to India as a volunteer by a relation who commanded the Madras Artillery but whose death, while he was on his passage in 1781, ""left him for many years unprovided for, and deprived him of the advantages he had expected from raising nearly half a company of recruits, and bringing them almost at his own expense to Portsmouth"". Ensign, 1791. His son, Dr R.H. Kennedy, is the author of a work on the cholera; another son, James Kennedy, barrister, was lately resident at Hull]
