Detail  [Aged 78, eldest brother to the Bishop of Bath and Wells. 8th son of John Law, Bishop of Carlisle. In 1773 went out to India as civil servant in EIC. Returned to Europe in 1791. A few years later went to America. Three ""beloved sons, natives of India"" predeceased him as well as a daughter by wife Ann Curtis of South Carolina]
