Thomas Moore, late of the E.I.S. He was nearly the last surviving officer of the army which conducted the war against Tippoo Saib. He distinguished himself in many engagements, and was once captured, and incarcerated for three years and six months in one of Tippoo's dungeons. Till within a very short period, he had joined in field-sports with a zeal scarcely known at the age of fourscore years. |
