Detail  At Salhouse Hall, Robert Ward, esq. aged 75, a magistrate of that county [Norfolk]. He was the only surviving son of the late Richard Ward, esq. Lieut.-Col. of the East Norfolk Militia, by Amelia, fourth dau. of Satamp Brooksbank, esq. M.P. of Hackney House, Middlesex. Mr Ward was one of the few remaining pupils of the celebrated Doctor Parr, when Master of the Norwich Grammar School; in early life he served as a Midshipman in the R.N. in the fleet commanded by Sir Edward Hughes, and was in six general actions in India, from 1780 to 1784, and in one of which he was seriously wounded.
