Death Announcements 1832-1844
Date transcribed | 2000-00-00 | Transcribed by | Steve Van Dulken | Comment | Death announcements from the "Gentleman's Magazine", a journal which is available on Google Books. Any deaths in India, or of deaths elsewhere where there was a mentioned link with India, are included. In a few lengthy obituaries the contents have been summarised by using square brackets. |
| Surname | Vincent | | First names | Richard | | Rank/ occupation | Esq. | | Death date | 9 Nov 1843 | | Place of death | London | | Source | Gentleman's Magazine | | Edition | Dec 1843 | | Page number | 664 | | Detail | At the house of Mr Wabe, Mead's-row, Westminster-road, aged 72, Richard Vincent, esq. He died suddenly from apoplexy. He was of most eccentric habits, and nothing more was known of him than about thirty-six years ago he arrived in this country from India, where he had amassed a large fortune, and had ever since resided, a recluse, in the house in which he died. Verdict -- ""Natural death."" |
