Service  Captain Baldwin served with the Force under Sir Charles Napier against the Hill Tribes in Upper Scinde, 1845. Served in the Punjab Campaign in 1848-49. Present at the action of Ramnuggur and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat. Medal and 2 Clasps. Accompanied as Deputy Commissioner of Jubbulpore several parties of Troops sent out against the mutineers of the 52nd Native Infantry and rebels during 1857. Mentioned in the Despatch of Colonel Miller, 10th July 1858. Medal. Accompanied the Force under General Mitchell from 6th to 20th November as Deputy Commissioner of Baitool, in pursuit of Tantia Topee.
