Served on Sir A. Wilson's Staff from May 1857 till March 1858. Present at the actions with the insurgents on the Hindun, 30th and 31st May 1858. Badle-ke-serai, 8th June 1859. Served throughout the siege, assault, and capture of Delhi, from June to September 1857. Present at the opera­tions and capture of Lucknow, March 1858, Medal and 2 Clasps. Brevet-Major and C.B.
