Present at the actions of Kuldwanee, 18th September and 28th October 1857; Charpoorah, 10th February; Sittargunge, 25th February; and Russoolpoor, 5th July 1858. Commanded a Squadron of the Rohilcund Horse, (now 16th Bengal Cavalry,) at the action of Maila Ghaut, under Major-General Walpole, K.C.B., in 1858. Commanded a Squadron of the Rohilcund Horse, with the Column under Colonel Smyth on the banks of the Sardar Biver, 1859. Commanded a Squadron of the Rohilcund Horse with the Column under Lieutenant-Colonel Williamson on the Nepaul Frontier. Medal. Mentioned in a Despatch of Colonel McCausland at the action of Charpoorah on the 10th February 1858. |
