Service  Captain (Brevet-Lieutenant.-Colonel) Bourchier, C.B., was present at the battle of Punniar, 1843. Bronze Star. Served during the Mutiny, 1857. Present with Nicholson's Column at the defeat of the Sealkot Mutineers, 12th and 16th July, at Trimmoo Ghat on the Rooee, Siege and Capture of Delhi. Brevet-Majority. With Greathed's Column, at the actions of Boolundshuhur, 28th September, and Agra, 10th October. Present with Lord Clyde's Force at the relief of Lucknow, 16th November 1857. Defeat of the Gwalior Contingent, 6th December 1857. Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, Medal and 2 Clasps, and C.B.
