Service  Served throughout the Punjab Campaign of 1848-49. Present at the actions of Ramnuggur, Sadoolapore, Chillianwallah, and Goojerat. Medal and 2 Clasps. Present with the Regiment at Jullundur on the occasion of the Mutiny of the Native Troops on the 7th June 1857, and accompanied the Column composed of 200 of Her Majesty's 8th Foot and 3 Guns of Major Olpherts' Troops in the subsequent pursuit of the Mutineers towards Umballa, until ordered to return to Jullundur.
