Medal. Present in the operations against the Hussunzaie and Abazaie tribes, and taking of the Black Mountain in Huzara, 1852. Was shot through the lungs at the taking of the heights above Shah Moosah Khel, on the Momund Frontier, August 1854. Present at the forcing of the Khanbund Pass, and subsequent operations against the Bozdar tribes, March 1857. Commanded the 8th Punjab Infantry on the expedition beyond the Eusufzaie border, of the Force under Major-General Sir S. Cotton, in April 1858. Served throughout the third China War, including the action of Sinho, taking of the Tonko and Takoo Forts, and subsequent occupation of Pekin. Medal and Clasps. |
