Service  Captain Campbell served in the Crimea as Assistant Adjutant-General of Division in the Turkish Contingent, from October 55 till the end of the War. Obtained 4th Class of the Order of the " Medjidie." Served as Major of Brigade at Allahabad, and engaged at Munseeta, on the 5th January 58, under Brigadier W. Campbell. Mentioned in Despatch, 22nd January 58. Commanded the 8th Irregular Cavalry during the Campaign in Oude, in 58, 59. Present at capture of town and fort of Sandee, 24th October 58. Medal.
