Service  Colonel Davidson served throughout the China Expedition, 42. Medal. Served in Command of the 16th Irregular Cavalry, under Brigadier Wheeler, during the Punjab Campaign, 48, 49. Present at the storm and capture of the Fort of Shahpore, and assault of the heights of Noorpoor and Dullah (severely wounded). Medal. Served with the expedition under Colonel Mackeson, in 52, 53. Commanded the Left Column of attack against the Hussunzaies, on the Black Mountain. Present in the affair with the Momunds near Michnee, 54. On all these occasions Colonel Davidson volunteered his services.
