Served throughout the Sutlej Campaign, 46. Present at the battle of Alliwal. Medal. Served during the Punjab Campaign, 49. Present at the passage of the Chenab, and actions of Chillianwallah and Goojerat, and in the subsequent pursuit of the Sikhs and Affghans. Medal and 2 Clasps. Served throughout the operations before Delhi as Assistant Adjutant-General of the Force. Present at the action of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th. June 57, and at the storm and capture of the City. Medal. Mentioned in the Despatch of Brigadier-General Sir A. Wilson, Bt., K.C.B., 22nd September 57. Promoted to the rank of Brevet-Lieutenant-Colonel for service before Delhi.
