Present at the battles of the Hindun and at Badlee-ka-Serai. Severely wounded in two places at the assault of Delhi. Accompanied Colonel Seatons Column through the Doab, and present at action of Puttiallee and Futtehghur. Served at the capture of Lucknow. Medal and 2 Clasps, Brevet-Major, and Civil C.B. Served as A. D. C. to Sir R. Napier at capture of Takoo Fort and advance on Pekin. Medal and Clasps.
