Service  Captain McAndrew served throughout the Sutlej Campaign, 45, 46. Present at the actions of Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur, Buddiwal, Alliwal, and Sobraon. Medal and 3 Clasps. Served as Staff Officer with a Detachment of Troops against the Insurgents in the Tharrawadie District of Burmah, in 54. Served during the siege of Delhi, in 57, in Command of Contingent Troops furnished from the Cis-Sutlej States. Served in 57 against the Insurgent Tribes of the Ravie, in the Gogaira District, in Command of a Field Force, consisting of two Horse Artillery Guns, party of Mooltanee Horse, and 400 Military Police. Medal and 2 Clasps, Received the thanks of His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief, for services at Delhi, 25th May 57; and of the Governor-General (twice) for services in 57, 20th June and 30th November 57.
