Service  Lieutenant Pearson served under General Windham at Cawnpore, 27th and 28th November 57. During the attacks made by the rebels on the Fort, November and December 57. Served with HMs 42nd Highlanders under Lord Clyde throughout the operations at, and capture of, Lucknow, March 58. Medal and Clasp. Served under Brigadier-General Walpole at the attack on Fort Rooya, April 58; at the action and capture of Bareilly, May 58, under Lord Clyde; also at the defeat of the Gwalior rebels, December 57. Served with the Force under Brigadier Troup, with the 66th Goorkha Light Infantry, against the rebels in Oude, 58, 59. Present at the actions of Pusgaon, 19th October 58; Russoolpore, 25th October 58; attack aud capture of Fort Mittowlee, 8th November 58, and action of Biswah, 1st December 58.
