Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Mary Anne the beloved wife of Brigade Sergeant Major William Parkinson 9th Brigade Royal Artillery who departed this life on the 6th October 1872 aged 26 years 11 months and 20 days. This tomb was erectedby her sorrowing husband. May she rest in peace. Amen
