Service  Colonel Darvall served throughout the Burmah "War, 24, "26. Present with the Force under Colonel A. Richards during the whole advance from Gwahratta, October 24. Was with the attacking party under Captain Martin, in November 24, marching 18 miles, and carrying the Burmese stockades of Desgaun by night attack. Received the thanks of the Officer Commanding the Detachment. Commanded an outlying picquet during the attack on Colonel Richards camp, near Rungpore, December 24. Present with the assaulting Column on the Burmese stockades at Rungpore, at the capture of the Fort, pursuit of the Burmese, and liberation of the Assamese captives. Medal. Employed as Adjutant to Lord Amhersts Escort to the Upper Provinces, in 26. Present in Oude in 26. At the taking of the Fort in Daoodpore, and the flight of the Killadar Sirteepeehal Sing, in 27. Commanded a Detachment in the Fort of Sertabgur, and held it during the mutiny of the King of Oudes troops, rescuing the Killadar Hajee Imamee, in 27. Commanded 20 miles of the Frontier of Saugor, including the ports of Maltone, Korye, and Kymlassa, during the Bundlecund Insurrection, 48. Served throughout the Indian Mutinies, 57, 58, 59. Medal.
